My Background
Saiswapna has performed in several renowned Sabhas, including the Krishna Gana Sabha, Bharath Kalachar, Narada Gana Sabha, Perur, Chidambaram Natyanjali, Guruvayur Devasthanam, Spirit of youth, Doordarshan, IDA and almost over 3 to 4 times in the Mamallapuram Dance festival organized by the Tourism Dept of India.
She was a regular performer in Kartik fine arts, Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan, Tamil Nadu Eyal Isai Nataka Mandram, Vani Mahal, Salangai Oli Trust, Rasika Ranjini Sabha and many more. She has taken part in many mega dance productions of her guru, across India and abroad. She is also trained in yoga and kuchipudi and attends and conducts many workshops and lecture demonstrations on the theory and practical courses.
After my initial training in the Pandanallur style, I received advanced training in Nritta and Abhinaya under the eminent guru L Narendrakumar, a senior most disciple of the Dhananjayans of Kalakshetra, Chennai.
My respect and passion for this art and the way it makes me feel mentally and physically is a reason to pursue dance with as much dedication nd keeping up the traditions and standards passed on from my Guru.
